Fuel Cell Buses: A Solution for Zero Emission Public Transit

The number of fuel cell transit buses deployed around the world since the early 90's will double in the next 18 months. Strong demand is seen coming from China for fuel cell buses. Fuel cell electric buses deliver the required mix of carbon emissions reduction, speed of refueling, range and route flexibility and unlike other electric solutions, they can be operated in the same way as diesel buses.

This was exhibited by Ballard Power Systems at the 2016 ACT Expo in California and the 2016 AQTr (Quebec's Association for Transport) conference.
